Victoria Atamian Waterman is an Armenian-American storyteller, author, and speaker who draws inspiration from the quirky multi-lingual immigrant home in which she was raised with her grandparents, survivors of the Armenian Genocide. Her empowerment of today’s women and girls makes her voice ideal for telling the little-known stories of yesterday’s women leaders. Her TEDxTalk, Today’s Girls are Tomorrow’s Leaders has been seen by thousands of viewers. “Who She Left Behind”, a generational story of survival, love, and motherhood from the Armenian Genocide to rebirth in a new land, is based on her own family’s history and is her first historical fiction novel.

About Victoria

_KEN1086.JPG

Victoria has recently transitioned into a semi-retirement phase after a multifaceted career spanning three chapters. The initial chapter focused on business and in the banking industry, while the second chapter was dedicated to empowering girls and women leaders. In her current chapter, she is channeling her skills and passion towards the greater good, paying it forward, and indulging more in activities she enjoys with the people she loves.

Most recently, she held the position of Chief Executive Office of Girls Inc. of Worcester and previously served as the president of the Massachusetts affiliate of Leading Women, a global organization focused on promoting gender balance in leadership. A force in the community, she is actively involved in various volunteer and board roles.

Blessed with a supportive husband who is a true partner, a blended family of four children and four grandchildren, and a renewed commitment to her Armenian culture through her published novel, the third chapter of her life is keeping her busy, joyful, and fulfilled.
